Bio

The “Beauty” behind AWS User Group Košice

Michal’s IT journey began in 2009 as a network engineer, where he spent countless hours with subnetting and deciphering VLAN mysteries, eventually earning the prestigious title of Senior Network Engineer — a rank just shy of “Network Jedi.” Tired of routing packets, he decided to reroute his career into the cloud, transitioning into AWS as a DevOps Engineer in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia. As he did nothing real, from there he skyrocketed to Lead Architect in Professional Services, where no-one knows what he really does, except drinking coffee. Since April 1st 2025, Michal works as Senior Cloud Operations Expert at Enspired.

In 2023, Michal joined the AWS Community Builder program in the Containers category and in the same year he founded the AWS User Group Košice, along with Lýdia so he can get some friends at last.

Known for his unmatched ability to talk (a lot), Michal attends AWS meetups or Community Days, where they let him speak for reasons no-one really understands.

In 2024, Michal earned the AWS Golden Jacket by passing all active AWS certifications.

When he’s not building communities, listening to himself, or drinking his 7th cup of coffee, you can find him planning the next big AWS event.
